Having fun with the theme of replacing heads! Thought it would be cool to do a lion.
My take on the “head in the clouds” concept, now with added masculine / body energy.
How do I get into the business of getting hired to make sci-fi / cyberpunk style book covers? Because I feel like that’s what this is. I honestly didn’t have a plan when I was making this one. Sometimes words feel inadequate, and I want to make some piece of art to express myself, but it’s not really a fully formed thought. I’ve been thinking a lot about myself and my identity (as usual), with all of my perfectionistic tendencies and fastidiousness, and this came out of it. I think there’s elements of seeing the world differently, seeing things in a way others don’t / thinking about things in a different way (that’s probably how everyone feels honestly).

Another digital art / poem combination

I'm really interested lately in the way we humans use images to make meaning. I've been watching a really cool show on the BBC called "Home is Where the Art is" and at first glance it seems somewhat contrived (it's a television show after all), but it's actually really amazing to see the artist's thought processes in making pieces specifically for individuals. Art is a communication, a language in the absence of words... I find myself returning in my digital art to the topic of the self portrait, thinking about what iterations I'm creating abstractly and literally, in reality.
This poem was created from Emily’s prompt that I should include thunderstorms, crows, and the words “opal, vicious, mouth, and ichor.”
