Max is a Transgender Catholic man and advocate for LGBTQ inclusion
in the church. He’s written extensively on the topic and has been quoted in major
media outlets, including a notable meeting with Pope Francis in 2024
where he introduced himself as a transgender man.

He is a columnist at The National Catholic Reporter, has spoken at the Outreach conference,
an LGBTQ Catholic ministry, is a board member of Dignity USA, and
has done events with New Ways Ministry.
